okay, lets start of with I DONT KNOW **** about cars hahaha, and i was thinkin after winter i should have a good 3 grand saved up, so im thinking maybe gtr or gtx, but from what i understand it would be better just to drop a turbo in my stock lx engine because the airflow would be betteR??? well idk about that cause i dont know anything about nothing hahaha, well , if i was to get a turbo what else whould i need, because i know that u need 2 get other stuff 2 turbo a first gen. if someone could give me a list of other parts i would need and there aproximate cost lol it would be really helpfull thanks...

Can also use: Pre 95 talon BOV (the all metal one) about 45.00 (used) 2" copper bends used for water pipe with radiator hose in various bends to connect the piping.
You can get a GTX Ecu instead some of the things on this list, but you need to start searching around. There's a lot of info on this on the Protege / Escort forums.-------------------------

For a one stage boost controller The valve would be put between the actuator (is this the wastegate?) and the intake manifold correct? There would be nothing else included besides the valve?? No 90 degree brass barb on the manifold side, or the barb is still there?
Would these parts be available at, say, Home Depot??

If you've got the LX model already, just buy the GTX engine, and put the head from your lx onto the GTX block. I think the GTX cams are slightly hotter than the LX ones so you might want to change them over while you're at it.Ryan The middle child is always ignored

If you could find a GTR for that price I'd say go for that! BoostedPro ran 12s with a stock engine... i will probably never see 12s with my setup and I have spent a lot more money!-Robert
