i thought the two throttle bodies were pretty much the same so i dont see why you couldnt just switch the sensors? i hafta switch the sensors because im using the stock escort gt wire harness plugged into the gtx ecu.

doesnt the BP TB have a different design than the BPT? I thought that the Bp was a dual butterfly design and the BPT was a single butterfly?
The T3 BP MX-3 conversion has begun, and is taking forever & will kill me.

No, that's probably the BF GTX, which has equal length runners or something.

Just try changing the sensors, you'll see what I mean. I don't know how to explain it.

what about the o2 sensor, can you use the one off your n/a bp?and will the gtx ecu read the one wire o2 sensor correctly without the other 2 wires? because the gtx o2 sensor is a 3 wire and has a different connector. maybe you could just splice the sender wire from the gtx o2 to the sender wire on the stock harness together to work without using the other 2 wires? thanx a ton for your help

The gtx tps has a long shaft so it can't go into the amer. tb. or maybe visa versa. I tried it can't be done. Just swap tb's. It will in no way effect the performance. THey are identical ex. the sensor.
Too bad I have AWD and you don't!

ok so if i switch the TB's so i have the normal bp one on the gtx intake manifold it wont be any different? so the gtx ecu should still work with this change? or will it not recognize the diff sensor? cuz im using the stock bp wire harness but i have the gtx ecu plugged into it. so basically my question is will the gtx ecu work with the normal bp throttle body and tps?

I'm using a DOHC BP TPS on mine w/ Haltech E6k and it works fine.

The SOHC TPS is a little different though, IIRC.

really? so you have the n/a bp tps on the gtx throttle body and it works?

Yes, it fits and reads fine. I will take pics if you'd like -- it bolts right up. The SOHC TPS will not fit, but the DOHC will.

Keep in mind, I'm using a HALTEC so I was able to tune my 0 to WOT votlages, but the actuall TPS bolts up fine. IIRC, the voltages are still close, though, but I can't gurantee that cause i'm not using an OEM ECU

Check the pinouts on the ECU diagrams, I don't think a GTX ECU will plug into an N/A harness at all

its plugged in right now, i just havent started my car yet because the exhaust needs to be hooked up, and a guy by the name of mysta316 off of ERDT (escortracing.com) who works at corksport is running it in his car and it works, just wont allow you to have the knock sensor.

p.s thanks for the help/info finewine! yes pics would be very nice thanx

                              LX harness / LX ECU.

I have a GTX harness / GTX ECU but I couldn't get it to work. I think the ECU is damaged.
