    14.7psi is the max output for the vj-20 doesn't mean you can't hybrid it and run higher boost levels.

    the stock BP is good for around 250-275reliable whp depending on the condition of your engine.

      denis ran 20 something PSI w/o issues for years.

      Its all in the condition of the engine and the tune.
      The T3 BP MX-3 conversion has begun, and is taking forever & will kill me.

        Did you ever alter you TPS situation at all? Did you stay with the 3-wire? Did you move any wires around at the ecu? 2L to 2M? Splice a 4th wire in anywhere? Thats the only thing I see missing here.

          i ran the 3 wire til i swaped to MS.

          car ran great

            Good wright up I used it alot for my egt turbo but i have found one thing that didnt work out.

            You said to use an oil supply line for a 89 323 gtx usdm, so i got one from a mazda dealer, but i didnt fit. I had to order the correct one from corksport.

            heres a picture of the differences


            top one for the jdm 1.8 gtx and the bottom for the usdm 1.6 gtx

              I used the US GTX one and it fit perfect. I'm still using it now with my Subaru setup as well.

                    The US only got the 1.6 GTX. It went on with no bending. Lined up perfectly right out of the baggie.

                      well the usdm one didnt work out well and would of taken some changing and the jdm gtx fit like a glove, as you can see there clearly different

                        some great info from Caymen91

                        VJ-20 outlet flange alternative with gasket

                        I used an exhaust flange then welded my pipe up.
                        Napa P/N:: 31926 $8.33. Fits just a bit tight around studs. Needed minimal filing on the outside edges of the stud holes to fit well.

                        The accompanying gasket is Napa P/N:: 31309

                              it could have been 16psi, but w/o a dyno its hard to tell if its making anymore power...but with MS you really never know, the VAF is a huuuuge restriction, and there was a youtube vid of someone running 250whp on a vj-20 running Halteck? and some other stuff, stock turbo tho...lol crazy.

                                Ya I had it dyno'd and no VAF. It was a huge upgrade to go from VAF to MS. well worth it
