    Turbo BP Sputtering

Hey. I have a 91 EGT, stock bp with vj20 turbo, manifold, and intake manny on it. When ever i hit over 10psi it sputters (drove it tonight and hit 14-15) . When i first drove the car home it sputtered a bit but not as much, only hit 9psi and was pretty warm out. I have the safc 2 and tryed adjusting the fuel and made no difference. Im using the stock bp05 ecu. I have a msd btm that isnt installed yet. Could timing be my problem??? Im shure its not getting detonation. The sound comes from the exhaust with a loss of power and a bit of hopping. I think i remember hearing something about the stock bp05 ecu going wierd after 10 psi??? anyone know for shure about this? Oh yea and also when i first started my car and left work my car wasnt fully warmed up it hit boost fine with no sputtering. I have a 21X9X2 intercooler and also 2.5" mandrel bent exhaust and IC piping.

What spark plugs are you running and whats the gap set at?

I've had the BP-05 ECU @ 15psi, tho unsafe, worked as long as fuel was there. Can you monitor your A/F @ 10psi...maybe remove your safc and see if theres any change.

Gap the plugs to ~.028. I had that problem, it would hit the higher psi and just die or sputter. I then re-gapped and it pulled like a mo-fo.

What plugs you guys running? Any colder ones or just the stock ones regapped? Thats what I am running right now. Only running like 4-5 psi but it is still nice. Running a .32 gap I think. As soon as I get my tuning.how to tune down I will turn up the boost.

Im using the bp na injectors till i can find some gtx ones. Its not running lean as the plugs are a nice tan color. I re-gaped them to .30 and makes no difference. The plugs are BKR6E-11 they are used stock in both the gtx and bp

How can an NA Injector provide the proper fuel @ 10 psi...I think thats your problem right there. We are all running 330cc GTX injectors if I am not mistaken, if not most.

Yeah man, dont drive ur car until you have the correct injectors. They are prolly at 100% duty which is bad. You did do .028 and not .28, they are a bit differnt.
