Whats your 1/4 mile time "atomicEGT"? Just curious.

My engines in great condition for its age. It runs perfectly atm and other then a bad clutch it just needs a good going over with a pressure washer. Im having my shop take off the a/c belt and the timing belt...then im gonna replace the head gasket and intake manifold gasket. Saving the exhaust manifold gasket for the turbo. Once thats all in and the engines running good ill put some miles on it then install the new clutch. After about 400 miles on the new clutch....THEN im gonna turbocharge it and start off at around 7-9 psi depending on the t3's stock wastegate setting. After all this itl probably be mid december. Then ill wait to really run the car in...since its gonna be like...40 degrees out. Probably wont even take it to the track until the spring...has anyone ever ran the 1/4 in winter?

      don't know, don't care.

you don't want to advance your timing with a turbo, just the opposite in fact. pick up an msd boost timing controller or something similar, it'll make you less likely to pop headgaskets.

and you may want to read "maximum boost" by corky bell- it's a great book that will help you with designing your own turbo setup.

Here's a proof that it can be done. And with less parts to do it.

oh, i'm sure it can be done- in fact, i bet mine is easily capable of it, if i had a clutch that could take it.

i'm just thinking it might be tougher with a pro, especially one in street trim (i.e. full interior, stereo, etc)
