but what abot the turbo i should be able to get that on, however that wont solve the whole problem,
and the 1.8l manifolds wont fit.

The turbo will fit if you have the same flange type. I don't know what kind of turbo was stock on the 2.2L but someone on will. Maybe a B6T manifold will fit if you can find one. Good luck in your boosting.
