got a gtx and im going to change the timing belt need info on what the timing should be set at (advanced) or whatever and the situation with the timing marks and how they should be set thanks

timing advance is not done by the belt... your either on or off with that... the timing advance is done by the distributer... loosen the 2 mounting bolts, and turn it clockwise (against the cam rotation). for the timing marks, there is a mark on the crank that needs to be at the 12 o clock position (there is a mark on the block) then for the cams you want the I pointing at the little arrow on the backing plate for the intake cam and the E facing the arrow on the backing plate (both the 12 o clock position)
