What is going on with this? I am pretty much thinking to order the corksport downpipe for VJ-20 this week and cut the flange and change the flange and modify the wastegate pipe to fit the VJ-23.

Please let us know what is the plan here?

i just got a message from mike last night. i guess the flanges FINALLY came in from his CNC guy on saturday......... and they are wrong. hes going to try and rectify the problem today.

I talked to him today. I'm going to send him the gasket in to have him look at. I don't know why these flanges are so hard to find. Prolly better off just running a t3.
I should know sumthing by the end of the week if not I'll just try to make them myself.

why dont you send him the detailed blueprint that i sent you... ?

the flanges are hard to get because they only made 2500 of these motors.... ever... . i'll run a ballbearing T3 frame turbo instead if you want to buy it for me and make an adapter plate for the gtr manifold... lol :D

I thought these flanges were being made, not bought. Of course they are going to be impossible to find off the shelf.

they are being made, but mike's cnc guy said that he had the prints for them in his computer already... so he made those, and they were wrong. i'm betting he made gtx flanges, because mike said they look similar but are smaller.

Well I'm ordering the corksport downpipe and rewelding the flange since it takes me less than a day to get a flange CADded up and cut.

Let me know how this goes if it ever gets finished.

The order I made will be shipped this thursday since couple of parts are backordered until then. We wil see how easy it is to adapt the corksport downpipe with the waterjet cut flange. If it's not too bad, I might make some more if u guys can supply ur downpipe.

we (me, jho, and mike) would be interested in just the flanges... mike already has all the materials to build our downpipes, aside from the flange. its going to be set up for a 38mm tial wastegate... so buying a corksport downpipe wouldnt really get us anywhere .

if you can waterjet 2 more stainless steel flanges that would be fantastic! please let me or mike know if thatd be a possibility.

Alright, here is the picture of the flange that is being built. It should be ready this week. 3/8" Stainless Steel.

is there any chance you could have a re-usable copper gasket CNCed at the same time, to the same template?

See what I can do. Technically the copper gaskets are not re-usable since when they are torqued they usually crush. So I can get gaskets made, but it will either be another material or it it's copper, it won't be re-usable AFAIK.
