    GTX ECU/Injectors/VAM + GT TB = ???

I have a wiring question regarding this setup. All components are GTX spec except the throttle body and wiring. I have a stock 94 escort GT wiring harness (injectors to ECU).

I've seen a few guys using the stock harness and just plugging in the GTX ecu.. Is this an option? Or do I still have to do some repinning?

    Any help is appreciated!

it will work (run and drive) but your gas mileage will be a bit lower without the 4-wire TPS. dont you have several 4 wire TBs lying around from the motor i sold you and lous old motor?

I could probably get my hand on one. Untill I do that, will the stock wiring work with the gtx ecu? Or do I still need to modify the harness?

      Thanks again!

yeah it should run and drive. i think elscotto80 has been running his car this way since he boosted it.

Sure have, and I got it tuned on a dyno by adjusting the vaf. Runs the motor very well and my mpg's have gone up, if anything from being n/a.

good deal! I should hear this baby purr this weekend coming up then

Escotto, you have an RX7 VAF, correct? Is the plug the same as the GT and the GTX?

              Thanks again!

the proper rx7 air flow meter is a plug and play device to the BP wiring harness.

and it has a "B" sticker on it where the stock VAF has a "U" sticker. comes from a Series 5 non turbo rx7.

you can also use the regular EGT vaf... it just doesnt flow quite as well.

what vaf do you have right now?

I used to have that in there, then switched it out and dyno tuned it. I keep mine around since I have to pass emissions in MD so I swap out injectors and the VAF and roll over to get a pass, then go back to F/I.
