    Ignition Timming in a BPT

    How much is the ignition timming for a BPT?

    What timming do you run on your cars

    And using a vj20 turbo at 12 psi with 9.5 of C.R. how much do you advise?

    stock timing is 10 on stock protege dohc and i think the gtx is 10 or 11

    why are you using 9.5:1 cr pistons

      HI! At first time i was reubuilding the engine, when i was N/A, and i found some 9.5 pistons for $39.45 (US) piston rings for $42.00 (US), then 2 month later this guy was selling a bpt turbo parts because, he had too much trouble setting the engine, he melted 2 gtx pistons, i told him to use the bp26 ecu that he had and a high volume fuel pump but he did not listen to me and kaboom, the he decided to sell to me this:
      Vj20 Turbo + Manifold and water lines, oil lines, down pipe, full exhaust, BP26 ECU, Pipes, Eclipse turbo intercooler, GTX intake manifold, GTX Crank case, GTX inyectors with fuel rail, Blow off valve for: A custom made header that a friend gave me as a gift, my 2 " exhaust, and $450.00
      Then a few months later he sold me the GTX cams for $30.00
      I began at 4 pm and at 11 pm i was boosting.

      That is why i amn using the 9.5 almost 0 lag, and 178 HP @ the wheels, but this hurts horrible the engine, right now i wil like to know how much it is safe, how far you can go.

        Also a friend of mine on the country side he had this rx7 n/a from 92 and he gave me the fuel pump, i sold this one to get TRE PERFORMACE 255 fuel pump, and a friend of mine At his shop he deals with RX7 (Mperformance) he gave me the inyectors for free RX7 N/A ones.

        People help me, maybe because i am a good pèrson i dont know, but what it is for sure i use the parts they gave me for racing purposes. Specially Street racing

          Are you asking about idle timing or throughout the map? I don't think any of us have timing data for an entire GTX map. However, some of us do have timing maps we made for standalones. Check the tuning and engine management section of the forum.

                There is no way you can find the timming map on a bp26 ECU

                  nope or we would be tuning off the stock ecu we dont have the r&d that the honda boys have i think you should take that msd 6btm out of your car

                  i am running vj20 turbo,gtx turbo manifold,gtx ecu,cs downpipe,cs exhaust,fmic,gtx injectors on my 9.0:1 stock 60k bp with no knock at 10psi and sometimes i creep to 15 with no problems in 4th and 5th no numbers yet
