    Chipping the BP26

    i know its been done, i just dont know by who and how they did it. A friend of mine has a merury capri turbo ECU running his B6T and it been chipped for 16 lbs of boost and thats pretty much the same ECU as the bp26. so who knows anything about this?????????

    the b6t ecu is a lot different than the bpt ecu jeff, it uses a supplemental MAP sensor if i remember right.

    there is (was?) a company in japan who can chip the GTX ecu... but it was pretty expensive. Lex used to have one. you'd probably be better off going straight to megasquirt... probably around the same price with wayyyy more flexibility and headroom.

      The chipped B6T ECU is much more common. I had a chipped BP26 ECU done by a company called GRID in Japan. That is the ONLY chipped ECU I know of. They did not respond to e-mails about specs and prices are around $500.

      In other words, not worth it. More worth it to run a GTR ECU and 460cc injectors. Or full standalone.
