Taking the red rocket to the dyno

Wasn't sure which forum to put this in, so mods, if it's on the wrong place, you can move it or whatever.

So I'm taking my car to the dyno tomorrow to see what I can do with the GTR motor. I'll let you know how it goes when I get the numbers. Wish me luck!

Right now, stock boost. I have no idea how high it spikes though, as I haven't really opened it up yet. I wanted to do that on the dyno so I can make sure everything is as it should be.

I'm just gonna keep turning up the boost until I start running out of fuel. So I figure around 18psi or so.

Ah, the place called and said they had a car "stuck" on the dyno and had to cancel my dyno. They told me to call tomorrow and see if they could get me in in the morning. Convienently, I have school all day tomorrow of course. I'll see what happens... *sigh*

bad idea. just postpone till next week.
No car! I soldz it. Now I have a truck. I like it, but apparently it has a hard time keeping up with a slightly modified 4WD protege with half the hp. Neat.

Yeah, postponing till next week is what I wanted to avoid. This saturday is the last test'n'tune of the season and today is friday . I didn't want to take the car to the track without putting it on a dyno to make sure all is well first. I guess there's next season...or I'll just find a secluded highway somewhere after getting it dyno'd to test it out...*shrug*

I do not. That's why I have to take it to the dyno.

I phoned them and set up another dyno. It's on Wednesday night. And they told me that because, they basically caused me not to be able to run at the last test-n-tune of the season by having to cancel my appointment, they would cut me a deal.

hey a deal's a deal man! how much is this going to run you? i'd definately recommend a wideband setup in your near future though, it's always nice to know your a/f ratios. a nice safety for that gt-r!

                          JACK.

                            JACK.

Normally the price is $125/hr with wideband. It's $100/hr without wideband, but I want it to know my a/f ratios. I dunno what type of deal they'll give me.
And yah, I'll be getting a wideband setup eventually. I just payed a bunch in tuition and books/supplies for school though, so I'm a little short on the fundage...
