uhhh, you want him to make a turbo manifold for him.. You also have to give him the specs of the turbo that you will be using.

edit: wait a minute, your complaining that that's alot .. Don't you get like 83 an hour for doing the web work.. You have got to be kidding me. You better stop giving that money to your girl and get that car on point.

lol yes sir. but even with that money, 550 dollars is still alot. and I have to get it first. just cuz I do the work doesnt always mean that its ok'd by the client... which always sucks.

            OK, good news....

The protege goes down to PA on April 5th to get the manifold and downpipe made for the turbo. I am using an external wastegate, so that will also be fabed and plumed back into the system (not venting to atmosphere).
I won't have it installed as I am going to do it myself and once the intercooler is in.. I will just have a pipe made to hold the bov, and one for the inlet and outlet of the turbo ... pics will be on my site once done.

I think I will try and get him to do the intercooler pipes for me also.

i would go with a precision sc61. the turbo is capable of pushing 700whp. this will be the only turbo that is worth it.

550 is what the manifold is costing me ...

I am using an external wastegate so that will also be intergrated.

I am actually working closely with
                        www.mentaladdictionmotorsports.com
with the turbo set up. I am ordering most of my parts from Beau , who is one of the greatest guys I have ever done business with..

the gt28R was actually right in my price range and still manages to keep me within my budget.

The disco potato --95pro-- is a great turbo also. 60trim and dual ball bearing. The only problem I had was it but me out of my budget by a hefty amount. I can still pull up to 300 hp out of the 28R with my set up (if I choose to) . But my real goal is 200 then 250. Also the R is a dual ball bearing also.

Once the car is running close to 200 hp, I can sit and concentrate on body work and so forth.

i would suggest going w/ a t3 bb turbo...t3/t4 is way to large for a protege..and it's spool will take longer! t3 should be good for over 350hp!

                          Good luck..

I am sure we will meet up for a race one of these days!

ohh yes sir we will have to have some fun runs. I figure I will get the car back at mid april. Then I will have to install everything. Order the oil lines get the pipes and elbows. Still need the intercooler.. (that may take time) hopefully it can be done by may 29th or so.
