Yes, I'd be fine with that.

Nothing yet, but I am guessing it would have to be pretty similar to the one in my car. Move the plenum as far over to the passenger side as possible to clear the brake master.

Nope, never heard from him again.

      Sweet.

Ian, not to thread jack but where is this rear solar wing GB you speak of?
Before you criticize someone, first try walking a mile in their shoes. Because then you'll be a mile away, and you'll have their shoes...

Its not a solar wing by brand. Same function but for the protege or escort/tracer sedan. Trying to replicate the oem option that is apparently impossible to find. It's in the works. I'm pretty sure the guy heading it up will post up when it's ready. He's gotta get his car to the guy for test fitment and what not.

Ferdi - all of what you said sounds good. Are you going to pursue making on for yourself? Or wait till one of us ponies up?

I'll probably finish it in my spare time since there doesn't seem to be a hurry in getting it done.

                Small update

Finished welding the 'upper' plenum and trimmed it to fit to the base. Wanted to try out my new smaller tig torch and so I welded the inside of the seams too - was still a pita and will likely not do that for any future builds. Next is trimming the base and doing the runners. I wont weld the base to the plenum until the very end so that I can correct any mismatch in the runner-to-velocity stack transition.

Still have to figure out the exact runner arrangement and hopefully I can find a scrap head locally I can use to mock everything up.

In a recent conversation with ferdi, it had come up that size and number or manifold pressure reference nipples will need to be determined.

Here's what I have come up with.

                          Brake booster nipple

                          Bov nipple

                          Boost gauge?

                          Waste gate nipple

                          Fuel pressure regulator nipple

                          Map sensor nipple

Does anyone else have input or suggested sizes for these?

PCV and possibly IAC. Also, charcoal canister, if you still have it.

Since iac was suggested I was looking into it. I came across this

One of the biggest downfalls to a aftermarket throttle body is the fact that it's incredibly difficult to obtain a rock solid idle because they don't have provisions for our OE IAC motor. This article shows one way to add your IAC back into the system no matter which TB you run. This install...

Rather fitting since I too will be using the 4.6 mustang tb.

Does anyone one else have suggestions? Something more universal or billet in mind?
