Not much of an update, but a few things in the works. The rear coilover housings have been modified to fit the BG spindle. I'm waiting on some parts to get here so I can finish the modifications to the top hats. The ECU and jumper harness is being built as we speak. I've started putting together the new shift linkages I'm making out of aluminum. I'm waiting for them to get back from welding.

Rear wheels came in today. 949 Racing 6UL 15X8s.

Looks like I'll need a very thin spacer (around 3-5mm) to make sure the tires clear the struts.

The tires sit really close to the trailing arms, but I'm thinking it might be toed in a hair on the rears making it look worse than it will actually be. The pictures were taking with the lateral links level with the ground. It looks like I may be able to get away with not having to hack up the rear quarters.

The linkages are just lighter. Nothing special about them. The shifting doesn't feel quite a solid since there is a lot less inertia in the linkages now, but it isn't a big deal for me since I usually just need to get the car into 2nd gear and leave it. The tire is a 225/45-15 Hoosier. The rim is a +36 15X8.

Justin, the 6ULs came in? Sweet, I have been drooling the 15x9's, I think I'm gonna bite the bullet. Emilio fitteted them with the 275's on an NA with only slight fender rolling, however, it looked better with about a 1/2" fender pull, gorgeous. Check out his site if you get a chance, this excites me as I reall want those 275's on some 15x9's. Good luck with the build man, gimme a call sometime.

I was wondering how long it would take for someone else to get a set of these. I've got the 7.5" wide versions.

Man...major U-Pull-It haul today! I went to the local U-pull-It yard looking for some fuel pump parts. I ended up having to call my Dad to bring his truck. I picked up 4 manual doors with really nice interior panels, a DX front bumper/support, DX back seats, and the fuel pump parts. I walked out of there with all that for $130. I might go pick up a few more interior pieces and the hood hinges tomorrow. Now the car is really starting to look like a Franken-Protege. Tan chassis with turquoise doors and bumper, brown carpet with blue door panels and rear seat.

I've been racing whatever people will let me drive. AS Corvette, STX BMW...I think this weekend it will be an EP Mustang we are taking to the 24 Hours of Lemons in South Carolina. The Protege will hopefully be done within the month.

Everything came from a friend out in Cali that raced an Escort GT for several years and just retired it. The camber plates are Ground Control plates for an unknown year Neon. They have been modified to fit the BG chassis. I just installed them today and they fit like a charm. I'm waiting on a set of SuperPro lateral link bushings to finish up the rear suspension. They are in Ohio awaiting my debit card #. I need to order a shorter set of springs to finish the front suspension and then I can move on to the exhaust.
