      hey rich, if it was a teal areostar and not a windstar. yes you got beat cuz i looked over that van and talked to the guy who owns it and he put a 5.0 motor in it with a lighting f150 intake manifold and a 5 speed tranny. the van came from canada and he did the swap himself. if you see him at towers ask him to show it.

        not bad..... but why in a van? Sooo many better options.

              Yeah, sure it was a windstar? It would make much more sense if it was an aerostar... The XL's are pretty small and light, and they come stock RWD, and 5spd is an option...

              It would be a pain to take a FWD auto (on the tree) and convert it to a 5-on the floor RWD.

              The only thing is that the Aerostar's engine bay is a BITCH. We have a AWD XLT w/ the 4.0 in it... and I don't think anything else could fit in there. It's pretty quick for a van... just no the most aerodynamic thing in the world.

              Ford set the bastard up retarded... we went to change a headlight, and had to take off the whole intake... ugh. Don't even get me started on replacing a PCV valve...

                It was most definatly a windstar and green not teal. and yes I drive one slow @$$ MSP

                edit: it looked like the green van below, nothing like the red one:
