I'm thinking Mr. Franklin will be my primary source, but I haven't seen him around for a while.

I can provide a scan of this page if you like but it will have to wait until next week.

The 1/4 is pretty much where I expected it would be, though that's an odd 0-100 time to go with it. A high 16 1/4 should yield a 9 second-ish 0-100, unless the B8 has some kind of second wind up top (which it doesn't. lol). Does the article say whether they ran an automatic or 5 speed?

I raced a 1st gen once. It was close until the light turned green.

It blew because I had a leak off the line on the wastegate. I was running 12psi when it blew. Probably making about 250whp at the time, it was a hell of a ride.

New motor was swapped in on Saturday. Took us about 6 hours. Turns out there were 4 holes in the block. One rod shattered into pieces and the remains sitting in the transmission, and another rod folded in half. It is a sight to behold.

Yeah, I drove my friend's 3rd gen ES 2.0 Auto... I thought it would have been much quicker than mine... but it really wasn't. I could tell it had a little better torque and pep off the line, but not by much. Handling seemed the same.
