    BMW M3 Challenge!

Well, not quite. I soooo, wanted to take this dude on who thought he was something hot, but I restrained myself.

On my way to work this morning I was in a little bit of a hurry accelerating back to cruising speed after having to stop at a light. There's a pretty good hill that I have to go up on the way to my job, but with 12 lbs. of boost at my fingertips (uh, toes) I can scream up this hill no problem. This black M3 thought he was hot stuff, decided to catch me (although I wasn't going hard at all) and started pushing the pace, weaving through a few cars. I soooo, wanted to down shift and blow by him, but the "old man" in me said to let him go. I'll get another chance to shame him later. I think this route is part of his commute, too. I might have to adjust my boost controller and push 14 - 15 lbs. just in case I come across him again. I love to see the shock on people's faces when 20 year old Japanese sub-compact outdoes their expensive European ride.

What model M3 was this? They are no slouches - especially in the handling and braking departments.

Frankenprotege ignores all but the newest M3, goes after M5 instead. Have yet to encounter the V8 M3, but looking at the spec, not too worried. Heavy, they are. Bowel Movement Wonder, 70 grand. Frankenprotege, less than six. The latter pooping all over the former, priceless....
'90 AWD Protege, full GTR drivetrain swap, ~320 whp daily driver, RIP, and
'90 AWD Protege, yet another GTR swap, Open class rallycar with a Toyota GT4 gearbox swap, thus crossing the line between hobby and mental illness. And a Brabus E55 K8, removing all doubt.

E30 and E36 m3's aren't particularly fast in a straight line, I'd say my NA escort might even be able to hang with a stock E30. An E36 one might run high 13's stock or something.

the 323 hangs out infront of stock E30's till about 80-90 on the highway

It was an E36 with a rear spoiler. The U.S. model was rated at 240hp.

MD323, are you talking about stock 323s? Mine's nowhere near stock.

nope, the stock 323 would only pwn them in gas milage.

mines BP'ed with the usual bolt ons, not to mention the suspension yadda yadda

You keep putting these challenges off Larry! When are you going to pump the boost, and whoop ass?

Our GT's, in the shape they are in, are no where near slow for an M3. Even with a small VJ14, they can still kick ass like mad.
