    Just purchased 205/50-16 Yokohama S-Drives

Had an opportunity come up where I was able to get credit for the worst set of tires I've ever purchased--Goodyear Asssssurance Fuel Max tires. They served a good purpose, but had no handling capability. I even screeched them taking off slowly from lights. Found a screw in my tire so Discount Tire patched it up and offered me $265 credit toward some new tires. I was stuck between DZ101's, NeoGens, and S-Drives. Most reviews I read preferred the S-drives, and my friends are already rocking the other two sets, so I figured I'd give them a shot. Let me know your experience with these tires. I'll soon share mine!

I hate DZ101s, so i'd say you did ok on your choice between those three.

I like NeoGens for street cars, but S-Drives are a good street tire as well.

My friend has a set of NeoGens on his SVT Focus, and the first set must have lasted 30k of him beating on his car and at least six hours of autocross. He bought a second set, so I know they're pretty good tires. I'm excited, however, to see what these S-drives do for me.

S drives and neo gens are great tires. Dz101's not so much. I've owned all three. S drives and neo gens didn't last long at all. My s drives lasted about 6-8 months. But they were an awesome time as was the Neo Gens. And of course you weren't satisfied with the Fuel max tires, they are a standard passenger car tire that wern't designed with performance handling characteristics in mind.

I enjoyed my S.Drives. They were quiet and smooth, and handled reasonably well, though I never pushed them hard. A friend of mine has them on his car as well and loves them for the same reasons. Very good tire for the price.

Driven 250 miles do far.. haven't had an opportunity to push them hard, but they seem much more grabby! Very quiet for a performance tire and handle dry road conditions quite well.
I need to roll my rear fenders.. more! They're wider than the Goodyear tires I was running.
