Well, I'm just throwing this one out there as nobody else seems to want to get in this one.

It's my busted up enduro car, my 1992 protege LX. Old pics are what it was like before the accedent, as well as what it will be when I'm done repairing the damage. The current pics are of it wrecked. It will be fixed within a month or two.

    Mods are:

Mostly stock 1.8L DOHC. Has a K&N air filter, an airbox with a cutout bottom, and a straight through exhaust, (A 2" custom exhaust with a glasspack.) exhintake cam swap, and a Escort Gt tubular manifold. A tokico blue strut on the rf and gabrials on the other corners, and a new upper strut mount on the rf. It has 3* of camber on each wheel with the right side having negative and the left side positive, Mazda 323 manual rack & pinion (Brand new springs on the rear. Also added bracing for the frame, as it was just about gone.). The interior mods are: Gutted out, with only the original dash left. A 6 point roll cage. (By Bones Welding) An aluminum racing seat. A blue 5 point harness. A custom switchpanel. (as the car came with no keys.) It also has a custom short throw shifter. Body mods are: No windows except windshield, no lights, no plastic trim. Hood pins and deck lid pins added. Bumper covers are cabled on to keep from coming off while racing. Painted two tone blue/silver. Currently wrecked, but in the process of being put back to how it was. It has stock escort 14" steelies with 175/70 tires.

            Used and abused is right!

            Lets see....

I've gone through 3 clutches from powershifting, I've crashed into a parked racecar while going over 50 mph (Which destroyed my stock bumper, and I had to put on a steel bumper from a dodge shadow.), I've run it at over 7k for hours on end, I've raced it on dirt tracks with pot holes so big that I got air under all four wheels and ripped off my exhaust system from grounding out (And eventually I landed so hard that I blew my upper front strut mount apart, causing my to crash into parked cars) , and I rolled over so hard that my rf cv joint, my steering rack, and my radiator all snapped and broke. (And my left side of the car slid on the ashpalt so much that it rubbed holes in the body.) And now I'll be fixing it and running it again! I think used & abused is an understatement!

I have a 2002 Protege 5, but I am not going to bother to nominate myself.

But here is a couple pictures of what you can do with a Protege 5

This one in particular has 410Whp and in the spring a 3.5:1 Final drive and PAR gears which means that it will be able to do 300 Km/h. It's been built to be a street legal Go-Kart and to participate in circuit races from May till October.

Ok, so a dented/abused stock car on winter rims with decals is a racecar...

(Also: I suppose there are still posts on this forum... and I am sorry for jumping to the conclusion)

Lol, it really is a race car. How can you not call a fully caged car, with an aluminum racing seat, 5 point harness, and no windows a race car? And the reason I run snow rims, as you call them is that they are all I'm allowed to run. There are spec tires (minimum 70 series street legal tires, without sticky compounds) in the series I race in, and they only allow stock steel rims. And the reason I have decals on my car is that they are either required (Bema inc. , Klements sausage) because they are the race series' sponsors, or because I've boughten stuff for my race car from certain places, and I wish to support them. (Richardson racing products supplied the racing seat, flyin miata supplied the K&N air filter and a few used parts, speedway motors supplied the roll bar padding, lug nuts, helmet, tear offs, and the push button for starting the car, RJS supplied my 5 point harness, G force offered my window net, bulletproof motorsports helped with the fabricating, and so on.)

Post edited because what I typed didn't come out right.
