My name is Jo. I just turned 21. I was born, raised, and reside in NH. I am a ASE certified mechanic. I have an Associates Degree in Automotive TechnoIogy. I work at a small shop in my town. We fix Saabs only(and the occasional Protege). I got into the field about 3 years ago, after I got sick of paying people to work on my car. I love my job and the awesome opportunities it brings.
Before I got my license, I used to want a Honda. I wanted to be like all of the others. At the time(and currently), my sister had a '93 Protege LX. My dad loved the car so much that he wanted me to get one. He found one(mine) downtown for sale for $1200. He took my money out of the bank and picked me up from work. He told me that we were going to buy a car for me. When I saw it, I was pissed and didn't want it.
The car was a 1993 Protege LX 5-speed with a sunroof. It is my first and only car. I got it with about 129K on it, when I was 16. Now it has 185K on it. It was born beautiful tungsen metallic grey, and I ruined it after I rolled the car onto the drivers side one night. I hit my head so hard that I decided to paint my car with spray paint.
I found Club Protege while searching the internet for performance parts for my car. I used to think that there was nothing out there for these cars. I was wrong. Everyday I drive my car, I love it more. It's not much to look at.............yet, and the engine is pretty tired. Things are going to be changing for the better. Stay tuned."
