Well spring has come, and with it comes an awesome ROTM winner. Chris has had a hard time with this car, and still does, yet he continues on and it is perfect material for ROTM and for others to learn from. I'd like to be the first to congradulate Chris on a job well done, and for not giving up and choosing to pick a different route and be unique.
CONGRATULATIONS!!
I bought my first 1st gen because my Integra was broke down and my buddy was hiding it in my garage for about 3 months already (repo man was looking for it). I use to rag him about owning a 4dr (remember I was into civics). He put Tokico blue struts and Eibach springs on it and a set of 17in white powdercoated wheels. I wish I had pick of it but I don't. The car was mint. The first one was t-boned in jan 05.
Oh well. Onto my current ride.

A little about me:
I'm a 32 year old father of 2. My wifey doesn't understand, and never will, why I keep a 1st gen. She tells me "why not just buy a new car?". Women will never understand the 1st gen love. My daughter is 7 and lives in arizona and my son is 3 and acts just like me. I drive semi-trucks for around 12-15 hrs a day. Sometimes more. I've been into imports for a long time now and I don't think I'll ever own an american car. Before I was into proteges and mazdas period I was a die hard honda guy. I can still appreciate one that's done right.
About my ride:
Right now my current car is my 93 protege lx. I bought it from a guy in Miami that claimed "didn't need anything". Haha yea right. It was dropped with cut sprint(maybe some ebay kind) and kyb struts in back and stockers up front. It sat on 16s with 205/40 tires. Also had a header, straight (no cat, res, nothing) 2.25 exaust to a ebay fart can, mx3 shift boot, b&m short shifter, 626 5th gear swap and rx7 vaf. I paid a price tag of 2k for it in feb 05 with 148k miles. Now 2 yrs and 1 month later I'm about to flip it to 159k.
I would like to give thanks to all the members of clubprotege for voting for me and for keeping CP alive and well. Special thanks goes out to the members I talk to frequently, you know who you are, that have helped me in the pursuit of building and fixing my ride.
