Here is the final results of the Crank Pulley Modifications..

You can clearly see that the belt is now able to ride in the middle where there used to be a hump.
I have ordered a 5 and 6 Groove belt, the plan is that I will be able to leave it quite slack compared to stock and minimize the loss to friction, plus it will be better on the main bearings..

So for the last years I have been using the tachometer to judge my speed. I had removed the stock ECU completely from the car which meant that needed to remove the stock instrumentation.

The IQ3 dash that I have can display anything that is connected to the Haltech standalone.

I have installed a hall effect sensor on the left rear hub, with a plan to install two more on the front output (Each Side of the diff)

There is a magnet that passes by the sensor, and when it is calibrated, the ECU will log and display the speed.

Back from a drive to calibrate the Speed Sensor and input the Gear Ratios. Now the IQ3 Dash that is in the Protege will display Speed in Km/h to a decimal place (XXX.X Km/h) and display the gear that the transmission is running in. I would like to point out that I spend hours and weeks making this car to do insane things... but also have invested much time making it do things that a ****ty Yaris does standard....

It's pretty cool, I have checked the speed against and GPS and have it + / - 0.3 Km/h so that is as good as it gets IMO

Having Speed and Gear logged in the Haltech will make it much easier to identify what part of the drive a particular segment of the playback is.

I thought you already had that, ages ago. When you got those axels made with abs type rings on the inside.

That valve cover, and the entire build might i say, is awesome and it also gives me a idea on when I paint my vc, except for mica maybe a nice teal or lime green will tickle my fancy.

Clear black. Whudda thought. Maybe I'll also do that to my roof to offset the hail dings. Make a nice convo piece. Hell, maybe the entire top of the car, lol.

Me being me, I HAVE to try first, lol. Plus, for what he wants to do it probably is probably as much as I originally paid for the car ($100).

If my car was built to the caliber of yours, of course I would!
