Greeting from a New Owner of a BG

First of all, I like to thank everyone here for putting together this wonderful site dedicated to the Protege. I find this site very informative and especially helpful for a new BG owner like me

I used to own two other Mazda before my brother totalled one of them this summer. So I had to look for a car to replace the MP3. I start searching for a 323 since it is light and nimble. There are tons in where I live, but most are beaten up pretty badly and neglected. After a period of intensive search, I came across a 94 with very low milage. It has only 87,000km (about 54,000miles). The condition is like new. The interior has no tear or wear. The only problem is that some of the paint is chipping. The car was garaged so maybe Mazda's paint is that bad
Here are the photos of my old and new cars

I am going to work on it when the weather gets warmer. So far, the steelies are gone and the window is tinted.

That's a clean little hatch. The white Mazda paint had a problem similar to the Chevy's where the paint didn't bond correctly to the primer, so it comes off really easily. Word of advice, don't take a pressure washer to it, or it will take the paint off. I have the same white paint on my 4 door, and I just hand wash mine and I'm fine.

I've decided that my car is a girl, she's picky as hell, won't listen to me, always wants to fight me, and when i give her presents it's never good enough and she always wants more.

Hmn, so if I want to remove the paint, I can just use a power washer instead of sanding down the paint

Those steelies and center caps look mint. If you ever get rid of them, contact me. Also keep that thing waxed so the paint doesn't die. Seal the clearcoat and maybe it won't peel anymore?
