    Need Z5 to BP help

Hi, Im new to CP, and Im a relatively new Protege owner. Ive decided the best way to boost the power of the z5 in my 1997 protege is a BP engine swap. Ive found what I believe is a bp in a 1997 kia sephia (1.8l) Ive also found several 2.2L engines from some older mazdas including a few that were already turbo. My plan is to turbo charge this engine after the engine swap. Im looking for any advice, Ive heard the z5 responds well to turbo. But Ive also seen at least 20 posts on here saying the BP is the way to go for performance out of proteges. If the Bp is the way to go what do I need besides the wiring harness and the engine (I know the transmission is interchangeable). Any help on this matter is greatly appreciated.

PS any info on turbo charging either engine would be great too

should be some BP swap info on here, check the BHA section.

I know you'll need a year specific BP harness, and ECU, not sure what else.

Also if you plan to add boost, you'd have to switch over to a programmable engine management system (megasquirt) to control fuel/timing/spark since you won't be able to make reliable power on the n/a BP ECU.

Thanks. one more thing, is turbo the most cost effective way to boost power for this car? I mean we know how to get there if thats the way to go just need to make sure Im not jumping the gun, Im kind of new to 4Cy engines, and definitely new to Mazda.
