Hello guys and gals. My name is Andy, I wanted to stop by to say hi and tell you a little about my current project. It is a 88 323 GTX and actually my second GTX. I had my first back in 97. It was bone stock and almost in mint condition. I didnt do too much aside from drive that one. My current project is going to be an Evo/STi killer. I picked it up about a month ago with the idea of working on it over the winter to have it ready for the spring. But the trans in my jeep crapped out, so the GTX is my daily until the jeep trans gets fixed. It needs some work, but is still a ton of fun to drive. I'm having so much fun with it that as soon as the jeep is ready. I am focusing 100% on getting the 323 running as soon as I can.

That how she looked when I picked it up. It has factory side skirts, Panasport wheels, and not too much body rust. Its has some at the back of the right rear wheel arch, hatch has rust from the rear wiper being removed and not sealed well and by the front of the forward rear suspension links. Those shouldn't be too hard to fix. Its pretty stock inside, has a Momo steering wheel, old school HKS boost gauge and AEM wideband. No radio but it has an amp and speakers that I plug my **** into for tunes. Suspension is stock aside from a set of K Sport coilovers. The engine has a stock GTX head with miata auto pistons and big nose crank. Either the rings are toast, a piston is cracked or one has a hole in it because this thing smokes like a champ. GT2560 turbo, tubular manifold, side mount intercooler, HKS SSQ, walboro 255 pump, stock injectors, honda half rad, a Miata AEM EMS running everything and I am sure I am forgetting some stuff.
I plan on running a built BPT or BPD if I can find one. GTR turbo, exhaust manifold and intake manifold, back door intercooler setup with a custom radiator. ID1000 injectors with supporting fuel system to run E85. I dont know yet if I am going to try the GTR trans first to see if it lasts, or just go right to an Evo trans. I will probably do a Wilwood brake setup and Hot Bits coil overs. Replace all the suspension bushings and pick up a set of Motorsports rear arms or just make a set of rear arms.
Thanks for stopping by.
Andy
