    newbie from Clearwater, FL

Hi. I have a 1988 Mazda 323 SE Hatchback. I love my car (my mother-in-law bought it for me new), but the master cylinder needs replacing. It has low mileage (61,700 miles) and runs great. It has new tires, new battery, never had an accident, but I am torn between junking it or putting in a hard to find reliable master cylinder. Any suggestions? I ran across this forum and realize I am in the company of Mazda enthusiasts. I have been as well, preferring to zip around in this rather than my newer GMC van. I just don't know if I should put more money into it, or sell it to a junk dealer.

      ^Agreed^

It just needs a master cylinder? I'm sure someone here has one laying around or can get you one easily.

Now if it was covered in rust and rot, that's another story.

Welcome to the club, by the way!
