I just found the site and thought I'd register and introduce myself. I'm Scott from Fort Myers, FL. I've been looking for a daily driver with several basic requirements: sub $3000, AC, manual, and good gas mileage. After looking at tons of riced out and overpriced Civics I've turned my attention to Proteges.
Until recently I owned a '99 Miata, which was totaled when I was tboned by a camry that ran a stopsign. After the accident I pulled most of the parts off the car and slowly started swapping them over to my newly acquired '94 Miata. I'm hoping to retire this miata to fun car/weekend duty and pick up a Protege for my daily commute.
It looks like there are quite a few BP fans around these parts, so I'll share couple pictures of my old (blue) and new (red) Miatas.
