    New member - Brisbane, Australia

    Morning all,

    I am a new member. I have owned a 2002 Mazda Astina SP20 (Protege5 in the USA) since 2003 and it has run down a fair bit.

    I purchased a 2003 Mazda Protege SP20 as a donor car for parts (got it for $400 and the wheels alone were worth it, let alone the interior).

    Work so far (in the last 2-3 weeks);
    • replaced the bumper on the Astina with the Protege bumper
    • replaced stock suspension with K-sport coilovers
    • replaced stock wheels with 18" white wheels (not sure of the type)
    • replaced spark plugs
    • replaced coil packs
    • replaced iginition leads
    • replaced 3 engine mounts (front and 2 sides)....pesky rear, still not done

    Next step;
    • install short shift (sitting in my garage)
    • paint valve cover and strut brace
    • swap interiors of cars (The Astina's interior is quite.....had it)
    • pretty up the engine bay area
    • Carputer - Raspberrry pi
    • Subwoofer (fibreglassed box for the side of hatch area)
    • modify my broken front bumper for a custom look

      Welcome. Any chance of a side-by-side comparison of those two bumpers?
