Figured I'd join up here aswell. I'm on M247 under the same username- haven't posted much up there lately as I'm also on MSF (though I don't own a Mazdaspeed LOL)
This is my second P5, Marceline, and I convinced my dad to help me pick her up (I plan to pay him back this summer)
189K on the clock, but a very healthy motor. Hot compression test returned 180+ on all 4 cylinders, so I'd say the motor has been taken care of. PO did all the mods (so yes, at this point it's very much "bought, not built" and they can hopefully be seen in my signature. If not, he's done:
AWR motor mounts
Fidanza lightweight flywheel
TWM short throw
Corksport shifter bushings
Tokico 5 way adj. struts
Eibach lowering springs
I've moved my JDM tails from my silver '03 to this guy, and have picked up some Morimoto Mini H1 projectors to eventually put in the new P5...
Anyway, enough rambling. I expect you guys would like pics...
Plans for the car are to get it through college, keep it rust free, buy some RPF1s MAYBE (I still enjoy the look of the stock wheels), and that's really it. I know that unless I go ham with NA mods, it won't be fast NA, and going turbo and trying to make what I'd like (200 wheel) means I'll have to open the motor. I will either plan to KL swap, or get another motor and build it when this one pops. As it doesn't show much signs of being unhealthy, I'm going to just save mah money and keep the car rolling down the road happily!
