Hmmm...a 5 door turbo based off the 6 series. Sounds familiar. Ah yes:

Displacement has only gone up .1 liters. That's impressive considering it's up 100+ hp.
The awd is a nice touch but I don't think it's new either.
While I liked the old 626 GT, and so did a lot of the automotive press, it didn't exactly pull impressive sales. I wonder why Mazda thinks the formula will work this time around?

It will work because everything is about high-HP numbers these days. That and the 6 is a winner in terms of sales thus far. Sounds like a sweet car, I still want a Legacy GT though

Pay attention to the new Legacys...all the existing EJ STi stuff will enhance them as well.

Don't really like the new grill design but other than that I like that the mazda 6 line is stepping it up. The 6's 5-door does look nice, unlike the 3's. The 3's looks like a wagon/hatchback/whatever.

Nuf said why do you think they use the 2.3l in the SCCA touring car champion ships although It still is heavier than the pro and has a hard time keeping up in the twisties with the pro. the 6 is still going to be nose heavy.

The v6 only adds 200 lbs overall to the car. Its an aluminum v6 and adds only 20lbs* to the nose.

*at least thats what I read from C&D about the 6

I think the 4 cyl is a better motor though, the V6 only adds enough power to justify the weight, 200 lbs, 60 hp, I'd rather have the 4 and more room in the engine bay for turbo(s)

Maybe the 200lbs is coming from the luxury options you get with the 6s? I don't really know much about how the options work.

Well, it's just that you said the V6 only adds 20lbs to the nose. Makes me think the V6 isn't that much heavier, and the weight is coming in someplace else?? I don't know myself, just taking a guess.
