I am aware of that, but were there improvements to the oil passages to the newer KL03 cranks, or are they straight up, unchanged since the beginning?

Comparing a reg KL crank side by side to a KLG4 crank, i dont see any external differences in the oiling set up. But thats doesnt mean something might be internally different.
Mazda didnt seal any oil squirters. They just didnt do any of the machining for them to begin with on the newer motors. They realized they just werent needed. Even though thats just extra security in my eyes. You cant have too much lubrication.
Im using a KLG4 crank, and pistons on my current KL build. going for an all OEM Mazda engine using the best parts used between all the versions. I would have preferred some ZE pistons, But the G4 one's are close enough compression, and were free.~PaTricK~

Went to Summit Racing over the weekend to pick up a goodie for the 323. Always wanted one, and for the price I couldn't pass it up. Apparently, Kouki and Zenki approve of it as well. lol

Ryan, eventually. Don't have all that cheese like you. lol, and thanks bogaut.
Well the build is still crawling along. Life getting in the way as usual.
DON'T SAY ANYTHING ABOUT MY DIRTY INTERIOR! lolol
Spare block is torn down. Cylinder walls are in pretty good shape for sitting for so long. Should work just fine.
I finally got around to making some brackets up to put my seat in using my stock rails. I took some steel plating and drilled holes to widen the seat track on one side. Nothing fancy, just want it to work.
Looks factory where visible.
Still sitting.

Alright guys so don't shun me from the forums BUT, I think the build plans are changing again. I want to go back to my original plan of a beast N/A motor.
So far I'm looking at:
K1 Rods
Wiseco 11 or 12:1 pistons
Colt N/A's 218/218 (or is it 210 exh?)
98+ solid lifters
Interprep springs
May or may not use my shaved ZE heads. I'm worried that shaved heads with those pistons will either require a REALLY good tune, or just not be possible at all.
Everything else will probably just be new OEM. Oil pump, water pump, etc.
Anything vital I'm missing?Last edited by DeeAOne; 04-15-2013, 10:52 PM.
