I notice you asking elsewhere which is the temp gauge sender......on the filler neck on the left of the engine ( as you look at it from the front) there are two sensors with TWO wires....it's not these ! Look down behind the rear one and you find a sensor with a single spade terminal.....just plug your existing temp gauge wire on to that.....you'll probably find your gauge reads lower than before as the resistance of the KL sensor is different to the BF one. Hope this helps.

no luck..what is the color of your temp wire? do you have a ground for it as well?

also. im confused on these plugs. the plug is black but the tip is starting to turn whitish. lean?

Ignore your plug colour until you actually drive the car and put some load on the engine....you'll need at least 10 miles before it makes any sense. I'll check wire colour for you later on temp sensor.

random question but are you going to keep the "bosozoku" exhaust?

I wouldn't worry about the color of the plugs until there's a chance to put some mileage on the car. Will you be running an Air/Fuel Ratio gauge, or an EGT gauge?

                          Comment

i have a narrowband air fuel gauge but seeing now that i have 2 o2's i dont know how that would get an accurate reading. i wouldnt know which cylinders were rich and which were lean and so on.

turns out i did buy plugs that were too hot for the KL though. they were heat range 5 and the recommended heat range is 6 or higher. at least thats what autozone's computer said. lol

idk you guys are probably right i need to just wait. im just paranoid that its already running stupid lean or something and will blow up on idle. lol

i find these engines are tricky to get running smoothly.
