Here's todays progress, i got my bolts in for the ring gear and i installed them with red loc-tite and i added 4 small welds to help hold the ring gear in place, and as stated earlier the bolts did hit first gear so i had to grind them down a little bit so they would clear

Before any grinding was done and you can see the 4 welds i did in this pic
I knew this site would be more usefull then all the other Mazda sites, i'm gonna be doing exactly this soon as I got a MSP LSD with separated ring gear on the way. Which bolts did you end up using?

^^I just ended up using regular grade 8 bolts, so far they have been holding up fine

Picked up my Jeep friday night and got it safetied on saturday (my friend did the safety so of course it passed lol) it still needs a hitch but thats minor details

I've been practicing welding aluminum on scrap parts here and there and I've finally figured it out and I'm very happy with how it looks so far, so i've started welding my intake, instead of waiting forever for my boss to weld it and I'm hoping to have the intake finished by tomorrow afternoon, as always pictures will follow

I forgot a hole saw so I couldn't drill out the holes for the bottom of the chamber, so I at least welded the lower runners to the flanges

I purposely made the welds fairly thick because when I squared up the runners, they didn't perfectly match

So using this handy belt sander I smoothed out the runners
