Very nice! Do you know if CARS has more or less stringent cage rules than NASA or Rally America (aka RallyCar)?

In the end, it's up to the scrutineer who's doing the logbook for the car whether the cage will work or not. As long as the cage is within the guidelines of the sanctioning body, it's fine.

I'd recommend heading over to rallyanarchy.com and checking in there. I know one guy's got an '88 GTX that he hit a tree in the rear quarter during a rally, and was trying to sell a bit ago, but he started parting it, so has a bunch of spares that you could easily get. There's also a couple of cage designers and scrutineers that hang out there from time to time, and everybody always likes to see nice cage builds!

A small update for the car!! I've been busy with patching rust hole and doing a custom dash.... Here is a pic of the fitting of the seats in the car,

Pretty much everything is done now, a few things to finish up and I'm going to be ready to paint the inside of the car!!!

So the interior is painted, in the process of wiring the car. I purchased a brand new universal wiring kit because the stock one was a pita to work on. A lot of broken wires and worn connectors.....

so the brakes lines are finished and so is the fuel lines.... after the wiring is done, the only thing left to do is the paint and be put back together!!!
