got the sunroof working, it dosnt line up perfect though (wasnt really expecting it since it came from a different car). was wondering if anybody came up with a way to make it fit better like shimming the bolts or something.

When I installed the EGT glass sunroof into the GTX, I made sure to first have the glass retracted into the assembly, merely for convenience reasons, and kept all the hardware loose.

I believe I had a friend help hold the assembly in place until I could get a few of the frame hardware snug. After that, I kept cycling the sunroof through all the positions until I felt that the assembly was in place correctly and at the end, I adjusted the two phillips screws on the sides of the glass to adjust the position (height) of the sunroof when it was in the closed position.

When I was satisfied, I tightened everything up and re-checked the action.

It's trial and error, but when it's done, it's done for good.

well i have it to where it is fully functionable. only thing is that when you close it from the slid back position it dosnt pop up entirely to seal. you have to hit the tilt button a little to get it to set all the way. does that seem right or should i keep messing with it?

Mine sometimes does that too. Just needs a little more finesse.

some old school enkei meshies. 4x110, basically catered to fit rx7's lol. seeing how the rx7 is gone, they just kinda sit here.

just an fyi....if anybody is looking for the pushclips that hold on various panels inside (like the rear hatch plastics, ect.) the escort zx2 ones fit perfectly and look basically stock once they are painted grey.

After putting some thought into it, i think it might be time to put the gtx up for sale. I was hoping i would have the time/money to keep the project going but it seems to do nothing but sit in the garage. Im gonna look into the car more tonight but i know it has some aftermarket parts on there im still unaware of. The car will come with a spare jdm
b6t with low miles as well as all the brake parts required to do the vr4 swap (front and rear). Ill put the actual forsale thread up pretty soon.

its nice to see somebody that also makes their own parts, good luck with your project dude.
as far as the late fees and all that? here in omaha you can have it notarized saying you had it in storage and then they MUST waive that fee, but the dmv never tells you that, they hope you just pay the money to them, so look into that stuff before you go payin any more late fees
