Once you get some rims with a different off-set, so the wheel are tucked in the wheel well, it'll look really sharp!!

1988 323 GT - B6T Powered

If no one from the future stops you from doing it, how bad of a decision can it really be?

tried fitting the other axle and it was too long as you all know.
any way ive been trying other axles and not much success yet
got two different axles that ive fitted that can work and correct length but needs a little bit of mucking around to work fully
the axles ive got is 626 gd rf axle
its the correct length only problem is the tri-pod type CV joint is a mm too big from fitting into the lantis cv cup and the shaft on the 626 axle is a mm bigger then the lantis axle so the lantis tri-pod type CV joint cant fit on, so might get the spline machined down a mm to aspect the lantis tri-pod type CV joint.
sec axle i got is a sp20 bj axle
correct length only problem is the shaft is a little bit small then the lantis one so the lantis tri-pod type CV joint cant fit on and the tri-pod type CV joint on the sp20 is a little loose in the lantis cv cup
so i think i will use the 626 axle if i can find a smaller tri-pod type CV joint to suit the lantis cv cupLast edited by michael0008; 12-06-2010, 12:07 AM.

well tried fitting the other axle and was 3cm too long
so ended up getting the axle shorted , tried heaps of axles none seemed to work
my attempt to make it into a hard rubber mount haha
after smoothing out ,doesn't look too bad.
hopefully stops the front mount fall apart.
more parts to do 5 stud rear
lantis master cylinder which is alot smaller,so now the engine shouldn't touch the master cylinder
clutch master cylinder from the lantis .
fits prefect don't even have to drill a hole in the firewall. it matches up to the two holes from the cable in the firewall
only need to drill one hole in the pedal then its been converted to hydraulic
that rod that goes through the knuckle suppose to be on a angle like its bent ,both hubs are like that?
also all engine mounts are finally finished and have been mod to suit v6
so its finally sitting in right

Looks like you're making good progress. I'll be interested to see how you get on with the five stud hubs on the rear.
It'd be a good idea to check with your local "certification" guy on whether you need to get that axle X rayed and sleeved...all the cert guys in Christchurch require it on modified axles.
What did you use to fill that engine mount ??
