So today i started on the gas tank, i knew it needed to be cleaned out on the inside so i started there first
Just gross
all the crap that came from the tank
My assumption is that there was a small amount of gas left in the tank whenever it was pulled and the gas just turned into this slucge crap that i am working on cleaning out
After i scraped out as much as i could i poured a couple litres of fresh gas into to break down the remaining sludge so it'll hopefully clean up the rest of the way to a point where i'm comfortable using it
But on a good note, after i poured the fresh gas into it, i tilted the tank to check for leaks around the seam and it all checked out great, no leaks at all!!

haha ya, ppl usually use varsol or mineral spirits (as per google search) to clean it all out, coke would work too tho, just might leave things sticky afterwards lol.-Jack

Hmm maybe getting it dipped would be the best option before i try coke or any other cleaning crap, cause i know for sure i wont be able to reach every bit of crap inside the tank and it won't be 100% clean if i keep trying to clean it the way i have been
Thanks for that tip, now to search for somewhere local that can dip it for me

you should dude! i've got some stuff along the same lines as Caymen showed there for the polish, i used it on the roof of my 626 (thru the clear in some spots and the hole roof is going white from build up) and it's now glossy green! did that in -3* weather too (sunny tho) lol-Jack
