seems about time for an update: i m guessing the piston rings got stuck in their grooves while it was in storage for so long. after driving it a while the oil consumption just stopped. no more smoking or anything. so since it fixed it self that can only mean one thing... Time for more power. i did my first E85 fill up last night and started messing around with my tune. im picking my buddy up tonight to dial it in completely.

E85 is the nectar of the gods. after one night of using it im angry i didnt make the switch sooner.

Tonight after lots of tedious fiddling with my fuel/timing maps my tuner(that mainly specializes in megasquirted mazda BPs and turbo Subarus) is guessing im making over 300 wheel horse power out of my stock BP05. after getting the map settled we called up a friend of ours that has a 2004 Mercedes E55 AMG(his is the most consistent car so we use it to run against to judge power gains). a week ago when i ran him he pulled me by 3-4 cars give or take 50 mph roll 3rd and 4th gears. tonight the same run under similar conditions i pulled him by a car justifying the seat of the pants guesstimate that my tuner made. ive never been so giddy behind the wheel of a car.

What axles are you running? I'm considering doing this swap on my '88 Wagon.
