So I finished stripping the GT down and ready for the scrapyard, it's a very sad sight but here's the final pictures of my GT
Since the wagon needs a windshield, I kept the one from the GT, we just cut the roof and under the cowl
R.I.P.
But now the wagon is back inside the garage, first time in months
First order of business is the much needed brake job, 3 out 4 calipers were sticking, wheels bearing were making a hell of a lot of noise so it was easier to just change the entire front knuckles since the GT got a complete front brake job only a few months before I stopped driving it
And the also good rear calipers and brand new ebrake cables
When installing the rear calipers I inspected the rear wheel bearings and found metal shavings throughout the grease, so next up is to install new bearings
In the meantime I've also installed the OBD2 port
1988 323 Station Wagon - KLG4 swapped
1988 323 GT - B6T Powered
2008 Ford Escape - Rollover Survivor
1990 Festiva - First Ever Completed KLZE swap (SOLD)
If no one from the future stops you from doing it, how bad of a decision can it really be?
looks like it would be quite nice to drive. good to see it all buttoned up, wishing i had motivation to finish up my cars.
is there a tach solution? or do you have an aftermarket gauge somewhere? i was curious where you were shifting rpm wise

Yes there is a solution to get the tach working
On my festiva I bought a Dakota Digital Tach convertor designed for engine swaps like this that change the number of cylinders so you can still use the stock tachometer
They're designed to work with pretty much any combo of gauge/# of cylinders and on my festiva I never had an issue in all the years I ran it, so it makes sense for me to buy another one for this car
Although they've certainly gone up in price since I last bought one lol

- make a battery tray
-new serpentine belt (forgot to clearance the casting on oil pump for the different pulley setup and chewed up the belt lol)
-new windshield
-tach convertor
Then I think I'll be able to say it's 100% done
