Here is mine with only cutting out a small piece on the front bumper & moving the license plate to the side with some minor trimming on the bumper support. It is 22 x 6 x 2.5 with 2.25" in & 2.5" out. This only required the cutting of the bumper behind the license plate, removal of the white piece ( I think it is called stylo foam... not a 100% sure) between the bumper skin & fiber glass bumper support & trimming off pieces of the fiber glass bumper support
Trimming of front bumper...If you observe closely this sits right in between the bumper support. It is such a snug fit that u all need to do is just bolt the i/c to bumper support with 2 size 12 nuts & bolts on either side, connect your hoses & you are done.
Test fitting
End result...now this is truly a sleeper all that is needed now is a piece of black tuning mesh & no one would notice it that easily unless they know it is there or they are very nosey.
This is with the 20x8x3 installed.... more trimming of the bumper support was required to accommodate the additional 2" in height for the new i/c to fit properly
This is a custom Garrett liquid/air intercooler. I have 2 custom fitted aluminum heater cores in the front with a aqua pump that circulates the water/coolant through the system. It has 2" piping from the turbo to the intercooler and 2.5" from the cooler to the throttlebody.
The intercooler comes factory on a 91-93 GMC Syclone/Typhoon. I repositioned it, welded a filler neck in the right spot and then welded a couple mounting brackets that bolt directly into the car w/o fabrication. No holes were drilled, and no material taken away on the car. 100% bolt up intercooler :D.
