hmmm that doesn't seem to difficult. considering I have to make mounts to get it in the car already. so what kinda hp do guys see on these motor's before headgaskets or other issue's start coming up?

If u have safe a/f ratios then the stock b6t could see 200-220, it's hard to say though I don't know the condition of the engine. Also u should only have to make 1 mount IIRC

awesome... now I just gotta find time to get started on this. so you think with the vj-11 and megasquirt you can yield more hp? I don't know anything about reading compressor maps. but whats the max psi for the vj-11?

vj14=stock good for 13-14 max efficient it can go higher, ive never had a vj11 but i hear they are good for 15-16 max efficient. i would find like a DSM 16G turbo, cut off the IHI flange on your mani or make an adaptor plate and use that for the power numbers u want to make. like previously stated the key to your project isnt gonna be making the engine fast, that parts easy, but finding the right suspension, building a cage and instaling a LSD to keep this car driveable.

what transmission were u gonna use?

                  nice. i have had 3 swapped festivas. 2 b6t and a bp.

my brother has a RWD festiva with a bp+t with miata trans, etc..

any questions shoot i have been swapping festivas for 5 years lol.

what i would do if i were you. chip, vj11, fmic, exhaust, etc like these guys say... but if you want to go the extra step without going stand alone and you want more than 170-180 whp.

put this compressor on your vj-11...

and then run a water/methanol setup to get the extra fuel past 15 psi. turn the boost to 20+ psi and you should be right where you wanna be 220-250 whp

this is the setup i will be running. it should haul ass in my 323 gt. i wanted to get another festiva but this car is just too rare and cool. plus ive been there.. built b6t, g25mr, haltech ,57 trim, cams, etc.. ran 12.9 @107 on 14 psi pump gas with 2.2 60 ft. lol. traction was a huge problem.. anyway. good luck!! and lets see some pics!
