i used the search but couldnt come up with an answer. i have a hydro manual trans na capri b6.the trans is broken. the na trans uses smaller axles that are not compatable with a escort gt trans if i remember right.. is this correct? i have a spare escort gt trans i know if i use b6t gt axles it will work but not sure with the stock na b6 axles. thank for the help

I also have a 1993 Capri (non-turbo) F trans question. I have heard the easy 5th gear swap for the turbos G-trans - using the proper 626 5th gear. With the F-trans, is there a similar swap available? I know there MIGHT be a little MORE work involved. I need to have the clutch replaced fairly soon (Stage 2 I hope) so that would be the time for the trans work.

      Thanks

OP: The Escort trans will not work without serious modification, the engine has to be angled forward differently would would require a new engine mount to be made and possibly cause clearance issues. I've never seen it done successfully.

Robert, you might want to ask on the FordFestiva.com board, those guys are the F-series guys
