HELP!!!! Need axle help with a BPT swap

    Hello

So I have been trying to get a BPT engine and trans swap into my 88GTX for about 8 months now. I am happy with how the engine sits in the bay. Re-drilled the cross-member, made a pass side mount and was able to get everything to line up very well. But I cant get a LF axle setup that will fit. Everything I try is too long. First setup I tried was the BPT BG inner joint with the BF shaft and outer joint. Then I ordered a 2wd USDM BG axle to try and and make work, but that would be too long also, then I ordered a 4wd USDM axle and still no luck. Does anyone know what I need to get this to work?

I coulda sworn what you needed was a b g inner and a bf outer. Try calling Derrick at Corksport and see what he says.
'90 AWD Protege, full GTR drivetrain swap, ~320 whp daily driver, RIP, and
'90 AWD Protege, yet another GTR swap, Open class rallycar with a Toyota GT4 gearbox swap, thus crossing the line between hobby and mental illness. And a Brabus E55 K8, removing all doubt.

Yeah,bg awd inner joint and shaft with bf outer joint. Some have flipped the bearing cage on the bf joint which will make the shaft that much shorter.
Was'nt there people having trouble with spline counts on remanufactured bg awd shafts not jiveing with they're bf joints a ways back?(not positive on this, pretty surethough)

U need a OEM Mazda inner BG 4wd CV joint and axle shaft and a OEM Mazda BF outer CV joint. Then on the inner CV joint you need to flip the bearing cage on the end of the axle. This offsets 5mm for a total loss of 10mm in axle length. Just enough so if you used the rear holes on the stock crossmember as your starting point in mounting the engine everything will be fine

Sorry to resond so late everyone, but thank you so much for the information.

Can I use an axle from any 4wd BG, or does it have to be from a BG GTX. I can easily get a 90 AWD Protege axle, but a BG GTX will be a little tough for me.

            Thanks again.
