Hi all, As the title suggests , I'm looking to swap out my tired b6 lump for a bp engine I have laying around . I've searched the forum but can only find info on bpt into a gtx where as I have a glx model , completely different

Depending on which transmission being used:
The SOHC F-Series transmission, the GT/Capri G-series transmission, Protege/Escort transmission.
It's been well documented here.

glx, is slightly older, but the motors themselves changed very little. most all of the information here should apply
