1989 323bf hatch, ever since I have had the car, there has been no illumination if the Malfunction Indicator Lamp (Check Engine Light).
I had assumed someone got tired of looking at a permanently lit light and pulled the bulb, but that is not the case. Bulb is good, but lamp never lights - not at engine start or when jumping the 1 pin green connector to flash codes.
Is there a likely place to look for a disconnect in that circuit? I am still assuming somebody deliberately unplugged or cut a wire somewhere.
