Had a little run in with a drainage cover the other day. Here are some pix of the outcome.

    Taken off the car

I was unable to source another bpt crankcase, so I got a bp crankcase as the replacement. It is currently @ the shop getting the oil pipe fitted

      Don't worry. That'll buff right out. ;-)

latest thing i did which was free, was make a short shift for the gtx. just took the shifter out, extended the two linkages below the ball (pivot point or whatever) spaced the shift plate up and left my shifter the same length. Shifting feels a lot more positive, and my shifter is about 3/4 of an inch taller. feels very nice. if you have access to a mig, or a tig, i would recommend.

I sat there and watched him construct his short shift while pondering why mine wont run. I think there is some shenanigans!

Replaced my Vac line with some Blue silicone about a week ago. Good thing too, the old stuff started turning to dust.

No pics, but I've gotten a little bit of work done on my GTX since I got it:

Swapped out the Dirtras for a set of Pedders GSR front struts/Comfort Gas rear struts, with CorkSport lowering springs, courtesy of 808.

Removed all of the emissions equipment from the engine bay.

Swapped in a slim pusher fan and eliminated the stock cooling fan.

Removed all of the a/c lines, wiring, and condenser. I would have kept it if the compressor wasn't missing.

I still need to change to brake and clutch fluid, amd clean up the interior, but all in all I'm pretty happy with the car. I need to find a new 6 bolt steering wheel too. My MazdaSpeed wheel that came with the car is coming apart. I'll get pics of the car up as soon as I take some.

How the suspension treating you? I have been meaning to send you the dust boots back, but I've been out of town a bunch. They'll go out tomorrow if I remember or Monday if I don't.

I haven't had a chance to drive the car yet so I honestly don't know. I need to get some tires so I can get it aligned and drive it.

Polished her up a little and took her to her first car show. Still needs an alignment and tires, but the rally tires are doing ok since it just sits.

                                Pics!!

I thought I got an engine pic, but I guess not. It's nothing you guys haven't seen though. I'll get one later.
