Missing my BF w/ A/C in Alabama

At this moment I wish I had it (my BF with a/c) down here in this heat (Alabama), my A/C quit in my BG yesterday in Montgomery. Not amused one bit. Been to the shop twice this spring for A/C r34 recharging, tired of that every 2 weeks running out to do it again. Last time the seals were replaced.

Anybody have a good A/C compressor, or one to rebuild laying around. I'm told we can't get new compressors, so rebuilt is the only replacement if that is the case.
    to repost in BG thread

I get lookers in the south at my BG sometimes, but the BF is the one I get all the questions on. It will be painted after the body work is done, soon. Then they will have plenty to say, An SE with a GT nose, will look cool and pas many gas pumps. More than my beloved BG/BP05 for sure!!

Installed a lsd in the gtx,had it laying around for a good year, year n half.Had me some beer and nothing particular to do.It's most likely a miata rear, they say those go bad,but it was nice and tight by hand anyways.
Do you guys with awd break the tires loose on the street?I never do.

Just finished my new exhaust. Straight through, 2.5", no cat, 24" resonator and offset in/out magnaflow muffler. Sounds amazing.

I tired turning up the stereo, but the car just gets too loud after a while. Guess I'm getting old. Hope the new hinges fixes things. If not, I'll be replacing the door seal next which is a little pricey.

I forget, is the GT door the same as a GTX? (or is the GT a bit smaller?) I'm sure I have a NOS door seal (still sealed in the bag) in the garage, just have to look which side its for. Which side do you need?

                GT doors are smaller.

Dude, Yason.... Your engine bay is so clean it looks photoshopped from a brochure....

BTW, your new pedals are missing a couple of numbers.....

Drove my car for the first time in a week. Been driving the family minivan which is pretty cool for a minivan.... oh shut up....

But I forgot how fast and how much fun my car is to drive!

Replaced the thermostat on Sunday. Then I went stomping around at Pull-a-Part to find a new(er) TPS. The old one was broken, with the plastic gear or whatever in a million tiny pieces. No wonder the car always felt like it was flooding and was getting 12-13 MPG. I got lucky at PaP with an 88 Tracer where the previous owner had replaced the TPS with a new one shortly before the car's demise. I also snagged another out of a 91 323 just in case. You just never know with junkyard parts. Once the one from the Tracer was installed the difference was immeasurable. I can now get up a hill without downshifting and turning off the AC. Anyone need a TPS?

I also snagged the hatchback wiring loom from the same Tracer to replace the ghetto-rigged one I made from some black slit wire loom and some clear silicone sealant. This morning I cleaned up the mess from the silicone, pulled the short scrounged wires I had spliced in back out, and put the new loom in. Looks a whole lot better.

I ALMOST picked up the factory hubcaps from the same Tracer. They were actually (OMFG) made of metal back then and these were in pretty good shape. I may go back next week, get them, clean them up, and replace the crappy looking plastic ones I currently have.

New front brake lines coming in today from RockAuto. Both of the old ones are leaky so it's time to get that fixed. Looks the ones on there are the wrong correct parts. Aren't they supposed to have a metal fitting in the middle? These are just one solid line, and the spot where the fitting is supposed to be is where they're crimped and leaking.

                                Lol,

I'm seeking a number of parts to build up my SE,
GTX accents, complete cruise control and such. The fuel is so great I am thinking of selling my GT engine, Tranny, and ECU. The 89 Tracer buckets and rear bottom seat make a great difference in the ride. What a cool car for the economy version. It needs much tweaking however. Not really anyone in Ky with a BF today to get pointers from.

My version will be 323/ST, when completed. Why not? The insurance is higher on the BF than the 91 BG, why is that??
