Is very simple swap, and other if the brakes are of 626gt, you will have 4 disc!!!! hehehe

i had a 323 1989 with JDM 1.8 DOHC, but had bad braking. But think about 4 disc

This upgrade is a good thing. Porterfield makes pads for the escort calipers. More brakes is good if you are doing anything more hardcore than autocross.
'90 AWD Protege, full GTR drivetrain swap, ~320 whp daily driver, RIP, and
'90 AWD Protege, yet another GTR swap, Open class rallycar with a Toyota GT4 gearbox swap, thus crossing the line between hobby and mental illness. And a Brabus E55 K8, removing all doubt.

I have a few questions about this. Does the new outboard (of hub) rotor make the hub-centric wheels not fit right? I have some 15" DP wheels that use a hub-ring and I want to know if this will affect it. Also, what spacing change was made to make the GTX calipers fit? Did you make the hubs flange cuts symmetrical on a lathe?

I suppose so, depends on yer route, man. I used to commute on high bridge rd, 'tween Duvall and Snohomish.... big brakes required. Especially when showing the crotchrockets the fast way down that road

I need to work this into my BF,

I've not done this work before. I understand the bearings are an issue with these cars. I want the best of bearings and brakes. All else is 2nd.

It must roll freely and stop on command!

my calipers were rebuilt 6 months ago. But a boot is torn on one of the pistons/cylinder things.

I have much noise in the front end sounding like bearings or axles, could be both.

I am going to check ebay for a shop manual.

                  Guideance is appriciated much.

                  Thank you.

Yeah, I think you'd be happy once it's done. Like I think I mentioned, it was spendier than I anticipated and took longer than I expected, but looking back it was well worth it. I mean, when I got done, I thought, "Okay, what really happened?"

I had the front totally torn apart, replaced both the inner and outer sets of bearings, custom cut the ears off of the tabs of the hub, removed and installed new (longer) lug bolts, installed the Galant rotors, installed the Escort GT calipers with the KVR Corksport brake pads and had the car re-aligned. Granted, this was actually on my maroon LX first which meant a nationwide search for the GT spindles (because they're different). Then, when I bought the GT, I didn't want to lose this mod, so a bunch of guys came over and helped to strip all of the best mods off of my LX and swap them onto the GT before selling the LX (we turned it back into a stock car).

I'll see if I can't find a pic of both cars before the swap.

Yeah,m I should get a gallery going but I want to get newer pics and my car's filthy. It'll have to wait Kyle. LOL

BTW, I think I have a copy of the shop manual on CD if you want. Can we barter?

BTW, if you have any questions about the pics, let me know. Looking back I should have added some captions to better explain them, but oh well...

For example, if you're wondering about he pic with the three different lug bolts, that was to show the stock bolt (left) next to B2200 or RX-7 bolt (middle) which there was a debate about it working (no, too short for the mod) and the final bolt (right) which I think is actually for like a Pontiac of some sort that the guys at NAPA helped me to figure out in order to get the length and the right threading.
