    The 929 MC is the only thing I haven't done yet. I'm chicken. I don't think I can bend the metal hose without breakin' it. Maybe someday you can help with that? I guess I should start looking for a 929 MC first..... LOL

      Go git yerself a brakeline bending tool from NAPA and be done with it!

        dont be scared of it, i did it by hand cause its so simple. there are two brake lines that go into the MC, one screws right in without bending. the other looks like it fits but the threads are a different size. so what u gotta do is get the 90* fitting and banjo bolt that screw into the MC (all stock parts on the 929)and put them on facing down. Now all u gotta do is take the brake line with two hands and twist it so instead on going into the MC horizontaly it goes into the banjo bolt verticly. You really only twist it 90 degrees, not even much bending.

          There are fairly cheap tubing bender available from your "cheap tool" stores. It should work fine if you are just needing it for the 1 job.

            4 piston calipers

            I have yet to complete the project, but late 80's RX-7's had aluminum 4 piston calipers. I was mocking it up, and going to keep my galant rotors or upgrade to the 5 lug RX-7 hubs and use 16" wheels. It is possible. The early Rally 323 GTX's did it on all 4 corners.

              are there posible to use rx7 gen2 front brakes? the one with 114,3?

                Anything is possible. I never personally seen gen 2 brakes from an rx7. calipers are slightly bigger, but the same, I think. I only looked at a picture of them. sure, its possible. its just a matter of knowledge and/or money.

                      which parts? calipers work... i'm not sure what kind of modification or bracket it takes though...

                        The Myth is that you can modify front spindles of the BF 323 to accept the rear hub part of 90-ish RX7. Vice versa if you want rear 4 pistons. Boom, now you have 5 lug hubs, then you make a bracket or drill factory spindles out to accept 4 piston calipers. I think you can still use Gallant rotors if you dont go 5 lug. My reccomendation is to stick to the earlier parts. cheaper and easier to find. Rebuilt 4 piston calipersare about $45 each at advance auto.

                          really helpful info. i'm going to do the Galant brake upgrade and give it a shot

                          quick question, what year of Galant rotor should i be looking for?
                          also, will the Escort GT caliper directly bolt onto the knickle without any bridge/modification? as well as the front break lines?

                            Sorry to revive a dead thread but I'm wondering the same thing about the rotors and calipers ... also longer studs.

                            So this will push the wheels out 6mm?

                              To update! The yahoo group has the information on the database.


                              Now is it at all possible to use the GTX calipers? I'll upgrade the calipers in the future, I just have more pressing things to spend my money on and I'm replacing the front bearings anyways.
